Serial killers are known to have cut short the lives of many leaving behind pain and misery in their wake. Over time psychologists have given likely explanations for such heinous crimes including mental depravity and ill health.
However, it is quite shocking to know that there are serial killer children who have reigned terror on the world leaving behind equal pain and misery. Interestingly, these children come from different parts of the world with Amarjeet Sada from India, Craig Price from the US, and Pedro Rodriguez Filho among many others.
5 Serial Killer Children That Are Unbelievable
1. Amarjeet Sada
He was born in 1998 in Bihar, India. Amarjeet is one of the youngest serial killer children ever. His crimes date back to the 90s but he was not exposed due to his age. Amarjeet started by killing close family members in his local community of Begusarai in India. At first, his family kept the details secret because they felt that these were family issues. However, he soon gained the attention of the public when he killed three children between 2006 and 2007.
Among these was his six-year-old cousin whom he beat to death in 2006. This was followed by the murder of his eight-month-old sister within the same year. The last victim was Kushboo, a six-month-old baby he killed in 2007.
The family realised that they could no longer hide him after he killed Kushboo and so it is that his case was taken to the authorities. According to the report filed by Kushboo’s mother, Chunchun Devi, she had left the child sleeping at the daycare at the local primary school. However, when she returned, she did not find her child and this made her raise the alarm.
Neighbors were able to link Amarjeet to the missing child due to long-held suspicion about the deaths of children in his family. The police eventually interrogated him and he admitted to taking Kushboo to a hidden place where he used a stone to hit her head after which he buried her in a shallow grave.
Considering that he was only a child at the time, Sada could not be charged with murder but he was diagnosed with a general psychiatric disorder. You may be wondering where he is now. He was held in a remand home in Munger and later released in 2016 when he turned 18. Since then, he has stayed away from the public eye.
2. Jasmine Richardson
She is considered to be the youngest person to be convicted of multiple first-degree murders in Canada. So how did she get to this point? Jasmine Richard was born sometime in 1994 and gained notoriety at the young age of 12 when she planned and killed members of her family. The victims were her 42-year-old father, Marc Richardson, 48-year-old mother, Debra, and her 7-year-old brother, Tyler Jacob.
A close look at the events showed that Jasmine killed her parents with the help of her boyfriend, Jeremy Steinke. Steinke was 23 years old at the time and due to the age difference, Richardson’s parents frowned against the relationship. Apart from them, even her friends are said to have been against it.
While parents will always want to protect their children from any perceived danger, Richardson’s disapproval of their daughter’s relationship cost them their lives. Their bodies were discovered on April 23, 2006, while Jasmine had fled the scene with Steinke. At first, the police thought she was also a victim till the investigation revealed that she had committed the crimes.
Subsequently, she was convicted of murder and given a 10-year sentence which she completed in 2016. Her boyfriend was not as lucky. Considering he was an adult, his sentence was committed to three life sentences. Another accomplice, Kacy Lancaster who drove them away on the night of the murders was given one year of house arrest.
3. Pedro Rodriguez Filho
Pedro Rodriguez Filho was also known as Killer Petey and Pedrino Matador. The Brazilian native started his killing spree at the age of 14 till he was apprehended at the age of 19. He reportedly killed 71 people as revenge for various events in his life.
His first victim was the deputy mayor of Santa Rita do Sapucal whom he shot for firing his father at work and accusing the older Filho of theft. After this, Pedro shot the security guard whom he suspected of stealing.
Following this, he fled and started stealing from drug dens and killing drug traffickers. This vigilante act earned him the celebrity nickname Pedrino Matador or Lil’ Petey killer. This is not where the story ends.
While on the run, he also fell in love with a woman named Maria Aparecida Olympia who even got pregnant for him. However, she never lived to give birth to their child as she was murdered by a local gang leader. This made Pedro so angry that he started eliminating members of the gang.
He was caught in 1973 and sentenced to prison for the first time. He was released and imprisoned again till 2011. Regarding his life afterward, Pedro became a YouTuber who used his channel to preach non-violence. Having turned a new leaf, he sadly passed away on March 5, 1013,
4. Craig Price
Between 1987 and 1989, Craig Price killed four women in Warwick, Rhode Island. The victims included a woman and her two daughters whom he killed in his neighborhood. This was followed a year later by another. Added to this, he was also accused of petty thefts.
Things took a turn when he was connected to the crimes and arrested shortly before his 16 birthday. Like most of the world’s young serial killers, Price was just a child but he was convicted as a minor. By implication, he was going to be freed at the age of 21 while his record would be sealed by the time he turned 21. Price is said to have bragged about his making history when they eventually released him.
In a twist, there was a public outcry against his release. Notably, a group named the Citizens Against the Release of Craig Price lobbied for his imprisonment. Eventually, the state’s law was reviewed and juveniles who committed brutal crimes like this were now going to be tried as adults. Also, Price committed a series of crimes while behind bars thereby extending his incarceration. At the time of filing this report, he had been sentenced to 25 years in prison since 2019 for stabbing an inmate.
